新日本婦人の会県本部（広島県東区）が、被爆体験記をおさめた冊子
「木の葉のように焼かれて」第51集を発行した。
被爆者10人が手記や、聞き書きで、あの日の記憶や平和への思いを伝えている。

一人の男性は、5才のときに宝町（現中区）の自宅前で被爆。
直前まで一緒に遊んでいた友人が焼け死んだ姿を目撃したときの悲しみなどをつづる。

被爆者のほか、2世たちら、4人の手記もある。

県本部は1964年に第1集を作成。

このほど、市役所で記者会見した沢田カヨ子会長（73）は
「今のうちに伝えなきゃ、という被爆者の思いを強く感じる。
被爆者がいるかぎり、活動を続けたい。」と話した。
